This spacious atrium was specifically designed to take full advantage of the sun. During the summer the sun only partially enters the room and thereby reduces overheating. During the winter the sun enters through the house via the atrium to provide a sunny visit even during the darkest months.
Both guest rooms shown here open on to the atrium.
